Job summary

Sevita's REM Community Services in Council Bluffs, IA is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time work in our community-based program. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities, assist with daily living, and promote independence and participation.

Open interviews every Monday 10am–12pm at 300 W. Broadway, Suite 107. Pay starts at $15.25/hour with on-demand pay and opportunities for career growth across Sevita’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent with proof.
• Valid driver's license for 1+ year, with registered vehicle and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping others.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships and provide hands-on support.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.

You’ll build meaningful relationships, provide hands-on support, and help individuals achieve personal goals related to daily living, communication, budgeting, nutrition, and community involvement. You will assist with personal care, hygiene, meals, medication reminders, transportation, and daily routines that promote greater independence.

You’ll also support recreational activities, social connections, and community participation while providing patient, respectful care to individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs. Your encouragement and support help create a safe, positive environment where people can thrive.

What We Need From You

• At least 18 years old


• High school diploma or equivalent with proof of education
