Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff and Home Health Aides in Council Bluffs and Glenwood, IA to provide person-centered care tailored to meet needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Starting pay ranges from $16.50 to $17.50 per hour with paid training. New hires qualify for sign-on bonuses of $800 for FT and $400 for PT after completing a 90-day probation period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.

Responsibilities

• Foster meaningful relationships between individuals and their community.
• Use Person Centered Plans to assess each individual’s needs.
• Assist with daily living and personal care.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Support development of independent and community-based skills.
• Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Transport to medical appointments and activities as needed.

We are now hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, PRNDirect Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, Home Health Aides in Council Bluffs and Glenwood, IAto provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. * New hires are eligible for a $800 FT and $400 PT sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Foster a meaningful relationship between the individuals and their community
• Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess an individual's needs.
• Assist individuals with their daily living and independence skills/personal care.
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Assist with the learning and development of independent and community-based skills
• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
