Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff and Home Health Aides in Indiana, PA. Starting pay is $16.40/hour with paid training for new hires.

A $250 sign-on bonus is available after meeting attendance and training requirements. No experience is required, with a 90-day probationary period following ED approvals. Positions include Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN options in residential, day programs and community settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Foster a meaningful relationship between individuals and their community.
• Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess needs.
• Assist with daily living and independence skills and personal care.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Support learning and development of independent skills.
• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities as needed.
• Complete program documentation and billable records accurately.
• cooperate with licensee and department staff during inspections or inquiries.
• Maintain high school diploma or GED as a baseline requirement.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving history.
• Establish a comfortable, supportive relationship and stay calm in crises.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are now hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, Home Health Aides in Indiana, PA to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is afantastic opportunity for professional growth, while making a difference! No experience required– we provide PAID training!

Starting pay is $16.40/hour

New hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $250.00 payable after working all scheduled hours with no unexcused call outs, complete all required trainings, and fulfill all required trainings. Additionally, must successfully pass the 90-day introductory/probationary period per the ED’s approval including performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Foster a meaningful relationship between the individuals and their community
• Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess an individual's needs
• Assist individuals with their daily living and independence skills/personal care
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Assist with the learning and development of independent and community-based skills
• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions

• Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the community
• Transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles
• Schedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hours
• Overtime may be required due to business needs
• May be required to lift or move 25+ pounds
