Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health, a nonprofit focused on disability and mental health services, seeks a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Cary, NC. You will assist individuals with daily living tasks and support their goals in home and community settings. Training is provided; travel within the local area is required.

The role includes personal care, housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation as needed. Flexible scheduling, benefits, and opportunities for growth accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• A High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

Position details

• Part-time; after school hours and weekends
• Location: Cary, NC, with regular local community travel
• Compensation: $18.00/hour

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in

What We’re Looking For

• Technology: Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy to learn
