The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides advocacy and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence and community involvement.
Assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, shopping, personal care, attending medical appointments, administering medications, implementing Behavior Support Plans, and ensuring safety during emergencies.
Paid orientation, CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP). Must maintain certifications and follow agency policies and regulations.
Commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, responsible and conscientious behavior, ability to work collaboratively, and effective communication in English.
18+ years old, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, High School Diploma or GED, and flexible schedule including holidays or overnight shifts.
