Job summary

Ability Beyond is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Bethel, CT. No prior experience is required and paid training is provided. The role covers assisting adults with various needs in residential and community settings, with schedules across first, second, and third shifts including weekends.

Eligible for a $1500 sign-on bonus. You will help individuals build life skills, support daily living activities, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure well-rounded care while documenting

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed
• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events
• Implement behavioral support strategies and use de escalation techniques when needed
• Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well rounded care
• Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities

Pay Rate: $19.00 to $19.50 per hour Locations: Multiple programs across the Greater Danbury area Schedule: Guaranteed set schedules available including first, second, and third shifts, as well as weekends. We offer both full time, as well as part time & flex opportunities!
