Job summary

United Disability Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Akron. As a DSP, you will provide instruction, training, and supervision to individuals served, while helping with personal care as needed.

This regular full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00am–4:30pm, NO nights or weekends, and a robust benefits package including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, vision, HSA, holidays, and a $750 hiring bonus for full-time staff.

• Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), physical and drug screen.

As a DSP, you will fulfill an instructor/trainer role and be directly involved in the instruction, training, and supervision of the individuals served, while assisting with personal care as needed. You will be helping the individuals served to learn and develop the skills needed to be included in the community.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), physical and drug screen
• Must have valid driver’s license with two years driving experience
• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities desirable, but we will provide PAID training
