Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking energetic EMPOWER Direct Service Providers to support children and adults with IDD in a fun, safe environment across North Carolina and Virginia. No experience is required; paid training is provided, and you’ll gain hands-on experience in human services while making a meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Positive attitude, dependability, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable using technology or willing to learn EHR.
• Experience is a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support members with daily activities, personal care, and recreation.
• Encourage independence, social skills, and participation in activities.
• Assist with community outings and leisure experiences.
• Ensure member health, safety, and well-being at all times.
• Help with lifting, transfers, and mobility as needed.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports.
• Work as part of a supportive, mission-driven team.

Work Schedule

• Monday/Thursday: 8:00am – 1:30pm
• Tuesday/Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:30pm

Your Role in Our Mission
