Job summary

The Arc Madison Cortland is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide self-care training and assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a group respite setting. Responsibilities include daily living support, documentation, and promoting independence, with new hiring rate of $20.00 and a sign-on bonus up to $1,000.

Shifts include day and weekend options, within a supportive nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NYS driver’s license with 12 months driving history.
• Six months to one-year related experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care per the Life Plan/ISP.
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Maintain and document service notes and reports.
• Submit program reports as assigned.
• Foster social skills and community engagement.
