Skill Creations, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide daily care and support in residential facilities.

The role covers physical/medical care, behavioral and cognitive support, and independent living skills, with emphasis on education in personal care and medication administration. Back-up and PRN positions are available across all three shifts, with hourly pay starting at $17.60 for full-time and part-time roles, and $17.00 for backup/PRN.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited school is required.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving is required.
• Course work will be required for successful completion of CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management.
• Basic computer skills are needed for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for individuals with needs in physical/medical care, behavioral support, cognitive support and independent living.
• Assist with personal care, medication administration and independent living skills.
• Transport/accompany individuals to community activities and appointments.
