Job summary

Helen's Hands, LLC provides community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Forest, VA seeks Direct Support Professionals for all shifts in group homes and community settings.

You will assist with daily tasks, meals, transportation, and personal care; document activities and supports; participate in training and meetings; and maintain a 21+ driver’s license with a clear driving record while background checks are completed.

Qualifications

• Must have active driver’s license with a good driving record
• Background check required
• Must be over the age of 21

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients in home or community settings
• Assist with domestic tasks: laundry, cleaning, meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking
• Assist with medication administration and basic personal care
• Document daily activities and supports in the computer
• Attend training and staff meetings; pick up at least one shift per month
