Job summary

Riverside Industries is hiring a Direct Support Professional for LIFE ENRICHMENT in Easthampton, MA. The role provides direct care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, personal care, and support for goal achievement.

Shifts include Per Diem and full-time options, with training on assistive equipment and non-violent intervention techniques. Prior experience is not required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but understanding, patience, and teamwork are valued.
• Excellent communication skills are imperative for interacting with clients, families and colleagues.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with feeding, toileting and personal hygiene needs.
• Operate or be trained to use assistive equipment (lifts, wheelchairs, etc.).
• Support clients to set and achieve personal goals and participate in activities.
• Engage in therapeutic activities, skills-building and community participation.
