Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. seeks Direct Support Staff to provide compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety in home and community settings.

Responsibilities include ADLs, meal support, transportation, ISP adherence, and documentation of progress, while maintaining confidentiality and following agency policies. A strong, caring demeanor is essential for success in this role.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and references.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift, reposition, and assist clients as needed.
• Strong communication and a caring, professional demeanor.

Responsabilidades

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders.
• Provide community integration support, including transportation and activity participation.
• Follow individual service plans (ISPs) and care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Monitor and document behaviors, progress, and incidents accurately.
• Use positive behavior support strategies when needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and care teams.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies.
