Job summary

Bridgewell in Massachusetts seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to people with developmental and psychiatric disabilities. The role focuses on skills training, independence, and community integration within residential programs and community settings.

Responsibilities include schedule-based shifts, documentation, medication administration, and collaboration with guardians and other stakeholders. A dedicated team environment and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to write clear documents.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and web-based applications used by the agency.
• Must be able to drive a large or wheelchair van and hold a valid US driver’s license with experience driving in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist with skills training in activities of daily living.
• Help people develop independence by creating opportunities and offering guidance.
• Follow all regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies in service delivery.
• Administer medications as appropriate and maintain required documentation.
• Assist with transportation to medical, recreational, and community activities.
