Job summary

Hackett Haven LLC in California is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized care and supervision for children and youth with disabilities in a licensed Small Family Home.

You will support daily living activities, manage behavioral support, and assist with medications as needed, while maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes growth, independence, and emotional well-being. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to obtain first aid/CPR certification and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to residents according to their plans.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, and chores.
• Support emotional and behavioral regulation using positive reinforcement.
• Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate records.
• Transport residents to appointments and activities with a valid CA license.
