Job summary

Abound Health is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Hackensack, NJ. You will provide hands-on care, assist with ADLs, and help clients live more independently, while building meaningful relationships and supporting community participation.

Starting pay is $23/hour for non-acuity and $33/hour for acuity, plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments. We offer paid onboarding and training, flexible schedules, weekly pay, potential for growth, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
