Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency seeks an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives in home and community settings. You will empower independence, ensure safety, dignity and overall well-being, and document progress accurately.

The role requires DSP experience, strong communication, and a compassionate, adaptable approach. Flexible schedule options and in-person work support team-based care.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional experience is required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and BSPs preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility and companionship.
• Encourage independence, social engagement and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
