Job summary

Developmental Services of Dickson County in Dickson, TN is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community.

You will help with daily living tasks, support social participation, and ensure individuals can make choices with dignity. Flexible schedules and both full-time and part-time options are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass mandatory drug screen and physical.
• Pass a criminal history and background checks.
• Requires basic language, written and computer skills for communication and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history and proof of auto insurance if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living tasks.
• Support community involvement and social interactions.
• Provide transportation to access the community.
• Maintain clear, accurate records and documentation.
• Respect the rights and dignity of individuals supported.
