Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with developmental disabilities. You will support daily living activities, help clients achieve ISP goals, and promote independence in community settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or to be completed through approved providers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
