The Supported Living Group (SLG) in Connecticut is hiring Direct Support Professionals for full-time or part-time roles in Avon and Danielson. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and support individuals in practical skills such as budgeting and transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem-solving and flexibility.
• Commitment to health and wellbeing of others.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license, insurance and registration.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a personal cell phone.
• Passion and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household chores and daily tasks.
• Drive to appointments as needed.
• Provide assistance with personal hygiene.
• Develop routines that promote independence and self-sufficiency.
• Teach life skills like grocery shopping and budgeting.
