Job summary

Resources for Human Development is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Ambler, PA. This full-time role offers a 4p–12am schedule Wednesday through Sunday and $17.50 hourly, with DailyPay available and comprehensive benefits.

Paid training provided, including medication administration certification, and opportunities across multiple service lines within the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and document effectively in English.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, electronic documentation, and timekeeping systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, medication administration, and other assigned training.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and community participation.
• Support individuals in developing life skills, independence, and self-confidence.
• Foster meaningful community connections and social relationships.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and support in residential and community settings.
• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) and behavioral support strategies as directed.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, community activities, day programs, religious services, and family visits.
