Job summary

Chesterwye Center, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist people supported, enabling participation in community activities and outreach.

The DSP will provide personal care, support, and documentation, working with the Day or Residential programs and reporting to the Day Program Manager or Director of Residential Services. A valid driver's license and some experience with disabilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with <2 points and at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Experience providing supports to people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists people supported to engage in community activities of their choice.
• Provides personal care and assistance to individuals during shifts.
• Maintains descriptive documentation in iCare Manager daily.
• Promotes health and explores community resources to improve outcomes.
