Job summary

Chesterwye Center, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals in day and residential programs. You will provide personal care, support community participation, and document progress daily, helping people achieve their identified outcomes.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel within the service area. Training is provided to maintain certifications and ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver’s license with less than two points; driving requirement for company vehicle.
• Experience providing supports to people with developmental disabilities in community settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Supervisor to ensure people supported receive supervision and needs are met.
• Provide personal care and assistance to all people supported during the shift.
• Participate in person-centered planning to help people meet identified outcomes.
• Attend trainings with other DSPs and supervisors to improve skills in supporting outcomes.
• Document status of activities, goals, and interventions daily in iCare Manager.
• Promote opportunities for community engagement and healthy choices for people supported.
