Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts seeks caring Direct Support Professionals for a 4-bed group home in Leominster, MA, serving male adults over 22 with IDD/ASD. The role focuses on coaching skills to promote independence and building positive relationships with individuals, families, and DDS coordinators.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, medication administration, paperwork, and coordinating activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
• MAPS certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 2-week paid orientation in Rutland (Mon-Fri, 8AM-4PM) required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and assisting in hygiene routines, chore completion, meal preparation.
• Administration of medications and required paperwork.
• Planning and facilitating recreational activities and transportation support.
• Support individuals in working toward their goals and increasing independence.
