Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The goal is to empower individuals to live as independently as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

The DSP will assist with daily living tasks, ensure safety, and document care to support personal growth. Paid training is provided.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion to support individuals with disabilities.
• Reliable, adaptable, and a strong team player.
• Comfortable using technology to document care and follow plans.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Successful background clearance is required.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks and document care per plans.
