Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of Sevita, seeks a caregiver to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a full-time, evening shift role (3p-11p, weekdays with every other weekend). A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, with pay at $17 hourly.

You will assist with personal care, promote independence, and help participants reach goals in daily living while fostering a supportive, community-based environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; proof of education is required.
• Age: Minimum 18 years.
• Experience: Six months of experience with intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals with complex needs.
• Engage participants to help them live well and participate in community activities.
• Support participants with development goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
