Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Direct Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team. The DSA will support individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs in residential homes, with a 30-hour work week scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM. An overnight shift is included and pay is $15.00 per hour.

Paid NADSP training is available to become a certified Direct Support Professional, offering opportunities for career advancement and pay increases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience providing direct support or direct care (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence and a safe environment for clients in residential homes.
• Provide companionship and assist with daily living activities and medication administration as needed.
• Assist with household tasks: light housekeeping, meal prep, laundry.
• Accompany clients to outings and community events.
• Follow each client’s care plan and complete daily documentation.

Asleep overnight position.

Pay: $15.00/hour

Responsibilities

The Direct Support Associate will support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration
• Assisting with lifting, transferring, and mobility support
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individuals care plan
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet
• Other duties as needed or assigned
