Job summary

Easter Seals NH, Inc. in New Hampshire seeks a Direct Support Associate for a full-time 30-hour weekly overnight-structured schedule (Thursday-Saturday 9-7a).

The role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and companionship in a residential setting, with the opportunity to gain NADSP certification. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility support, medication administration, light housekeeping, and accompanying clients to activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in direct support or direct care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence and create a safe, supportive living environment.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal care and medication administration.
• Provide mobility support with lifting, transferring, and positioning.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Accompany clients to outings, appointments, and community events.
• Follow each individual's care plan.
• Complete daily documentation on a computer or tablet.

Schedule: Full time 30 hours a week; Thursday-Saturday 9-7a Asleep overnight position.

Pay: $15.00/hour Opportunity to attend paid internal NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional which leads to career advancement and pay increases.

Responsibilities

• The Direct Support Associate will support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration
• Assisting with lifting, transferring, and mobility support
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individuals care plan
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet
• Other duties as needed or assigned
