Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Direct Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team in Rochester, NH. This per diem role focuses on assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs in daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and experience providing direct support preferred. We offer competitive pay at $24/hour and opportunities for paid training leading to certification as a Direct Support Professional.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration.
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events.

Opportunity to attend paid internal NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional which leads to career advancement and pay increases.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration
• Assisting with lifting, transferring, and mobility support
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individual's care plan
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet
• Other duties as needed or assigned
