Job summary

TrulyHired in Peabody, MA is seeking Direct Service Specialists to work with adults with developmental disabilities in a daytime program. You will guide and support participation in activities that build life, social, community, and therapeutic skills, with some assistance needed for daily living tasks.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, a valid driver’s license preferred, and the ability to meet physical requirements for assistance and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Candidates must meet physical requirements to assist with daily living activities and training.
• Certification in Shore's approved behavioural safety training (Safety Care or equivalent) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities that build life, social, community and therapeutic skills for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities and participate in training and behavior support interventions when necessary.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure safety and consistency in program delivery.
