Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to generate new business, cross-sell, and build relationships in local markets. You’ll sell to customers in-store and by phone, with a focus on community engagement and referrals.

Base compensation is $20.00 per hour, with uncapped monthly incentives; 0–2 years of experience preferred and P&C licensing is preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of joining.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in sales or related role.
• P&C licensing preferred or must attain licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline through local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (dealerships, events, local partners) to grow business.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support local sales and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance, and customer experience.
