Job summary

Humanoid in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Buyer - Directs to manage operational procurement, P2P, supplier communication, and tactical sourcing across direct material commodities.

You will support SCM Lead with cross-team collaboration with London, Boston, and Vancouver; responsible for cost performance, continuity of supply, and KPI-driven improvements; utilization of SAP MRP and RFx processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct procurement experience in manufacturing/robotics or related industry.
• Experience with direct procurement, RFx, negotiations and contracts.
• Understanding of export controls and commercial terms is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support RFx processes, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Drive cost, lead-time, and efficiency improvements with KPIs.
• Capture requirements and translate into commercial packages.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and terms.
• Perform price analysis and cost-breakdown validation.
• Process requisitions and POs in line with procurement policies.
• Maintain PO and supplier data in SAP and related systems.
• Resolve supplier issues and escalate as needed.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and manage risk.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes.
• Run MRP in SAP for direct goods and services.
• Assist SCM Lead and regional teams in supply continuity.
