Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Buyer - Directs to manage operational procurement and P2P execution across direct material commodities. You will support the SCM Lead and collaborate with teams in Boston, London, and Vancouver to ensure supply continuity, cost performance, and operational excellence.

The role requires experience in direct procurement within manufacturing or robotics, strong contract knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct procurement experience in manufacturing, robotics, tech, aerospace/defense, or automotive.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and understand price trends and risks.
• Support sourcing initiatives including RFx processes, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Drive cost, lead-time, and efficiency improvements with measurable KPIs.
• Capture requirements and translate into clear commercial packages.
• Negotiate terms (pricing, payment terms, lead times, Ts & Cs).
• Process requisitions and purchase orders in line with procurement policies.
• Maintain PO and supplier data in SAP and related systems.
• Support cross-functional teams to meet manufacturing needs.
