Position Title: Printing Press Operator

Wage: $28.00 per hour

Shift: 1st or 2nd

Printing Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and operate high-speed print and converting machinery in accordance with job specifications and production schedules.
• Inspect finished product against quality specifications and make real-time adjustments to maintain standards.
• Read and interpret artwork, diagrams, and work orders to properly configure and position machinery.
• Perform all necessary pre-operation checks to ensure proper equipment startup.
• Monitor multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously during production runs to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot print quality issues as they arise and **escalate mechanical issues when they arise**.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on press and ancillary equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate clearly with team members and plant staff.
• Adhere to all housekeeping, sanitation, and safety standards as defined by plant leadership.

Printing Press Operator Requirements:

• Prior experience operating high-speed digital or flexographic print/converting equipment strongly preferred.
• Experience with digital print systems (e.g., inkjet or similar technology) a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production print environment.
• Ability to read and interpret artwork, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to make equipment adjustments independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple equipment priorities.
• Ability to operate lift equipment; forklift/tractor experience a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with production procedures and general plant safety practices.
