Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Random Lake, WI is seeking a Letterpress Operator for 1st shift, with a wage of $21.00-$22.00 per hour and hours 6:00am-3:00pm Mon-Thu, 6:00am-10:00am Fri. This is a potential to hire position.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating printing machinery, mounting plates, mixing inks, monitoring print quality, and performing maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail are required; prior printing experience preferred.

Hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 6:00am - 10:00am (Friday)

Letterpress Operator Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating printing machinery and equipment; ensuring optimization of makeready and adjusting as needed
• Manually mounting printing plates accurately for production runs
• Mixing and matching inks to meet specifications
• Monitoring machinery during production to ensure print quality and consistency
• Conducting press wash-up and routine maintenance; troubleshooting and resolving machine malfunctions
• Operating and assisting with finishing equipment and tasks as needed

Requirements for Letterpress Operator

• Strong mechanical skills/aptitude
• Prior printing experience preferred
• Ability to read and utilize tape measures and rulers precisely
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to walk/stand 8-10 hours and moving/lifting 40 pounds regularly
• Willingness to learn operations
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Clear communication skills
