Job summary

TekPro in Blaine, MN is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join a fast-growing precision turning team. You will set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components, interpret blueprints, and maintain tight tolerances in a clean shop.

You'll perform tool changes, apply offsets, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and work with production and quality teams to meet customer specs and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and confidently use precision measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Background in a production machining environment.
• Familiarity with CNC controls and machining best practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up and/or operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
• Perform tool changes, apply offsets, and complete basic machine adjustments.
• Inspect parts using hand metrology (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Monitor quality and maintain production standards throughout each run.
• Partner with quality and production teams to meet customer specs and delivery goals.
