Job summary

The role involves assisting with ADLs, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders where allowed, light housekeeping, and accompanying clients to appointments. Flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• HHA or CNA certification may be required by state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and assist clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support mobility including transferring and using mobility aids.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare and serve meals per dietary needs and preferences.
• Give medication reminders where permitted by regulations.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor changes in clients' condition and report to appropriate staff.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands.
• Follow care plans and coordinate with family and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe, comfortable living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support clients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist with medication reminders (if permitted by regulations).
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying living areas.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition to appropriate personnel.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities if needed.
• Follow care plans and work closely with family members and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior caregiving experience (preferred but not always required).
• Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (if required by state regulations).
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
