Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a Direct Caregiver in the United States to support individuals with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and comfort.

The role involves assisting with ADLs, mobility, meals, companionship, and basic care coordination in various settings. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent (pref), and may need HHA/CNA certification per state regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required.
  • HHA or CNA certification may be required by state regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients; good physical stamina.
  • Strong communication and compassionate, patient attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support mobility including transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with medication reminders where permitted by regulations.
  • Perform light housekeeping like laundry and dishes.
  • Monitor changes in clients’ condition and report to appropriate personnel.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
  • Follow care plans and coordinate with family and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

Job Summary:

A Direct Caregiver provides essential support and assistance to individuals who need help with daily living activities due to age, illness, disability, or other conditions. They ensure clients’ comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with medication reminders (if permitted by regulations).
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying living areas.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition to appropriate personnel.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities if needed.
  • Follow care plans and work closely with family members and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Prior caregiving experience (preferred but not always required).
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (if required by state regulations).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
