Job summary

Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs in Needham, MA, is seeking a Direct Care Supervisor to work with children and youth facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed care in a supportive setting.

You will supervise staff, manage daily client schedules, ensure therapeutic programming, and provide crisis management. Strong communication and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Must pass background checks and have reliable transportation.
• Valid MA driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide a therapeutic milieu within the Drop-in Center.
• Manage the daily schedule for clients and ensure therapeutic recreational programming.
• Directly manage assigned staff, including supervision and staff evaluations.
• Provide crisis management within the program.
• Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and treatment meetings as needed.
• Assist with staff interviewing and training.
• Coordinate communication across shifts and with DCF teams.
• Support leadership in staff development and program planning.
