Apex Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Supervisor to lead the direct care team in Central Arkansas, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered services for people with disabilities.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in scheduling and staff supervision, and the ability to navigate after-hours issues while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• QIDP status required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience supervising or scheduling in direct care, waiver services, or DDS programs is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to pass background checks and handle after-hours calls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate direct care staff, including scheduling and coverage for vacations and illness.
• Serve as primary contact for people supported, families, guardians, case managers, and DDS officials.
• Attend person-centered planning meetings, IEP meetings, staffings, and court hearings with care coordinators.
• Ensure plans of care and contract requirements are followed; review schedules and medication logs.
• Review weekly time entries for billing and payroll; complete incident, monthly and quarterly reports on time.
• Recommend hiring and other personnel actions; conduct staff evaluations and background checks.
• Coordinate family visits, transportation, and school placements.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and staffing issues while protecting confidential information and HIPAA requirements.
