Job summary

Pathlight Community Services in Ypsilanti, MI seeks compassionate Direct Care Workers to support adults with developmental disabilities in a 6-bed group home. Shifts include Afternoon 4:00 PM–12:00 AM and Midnight 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Requires valid driver's license and willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Competitive starting pay with benefits and 401(k) match. Full-time and part-time positions available. Training may lead to higher pay after completion.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Have a valid Driver's License.
• Be able to successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Be dependable, responsible, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
• Be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a licensed group home.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a 6-bed group home setting.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care and support.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Administer medications as prescribed and according to procedures.
• Complete daily cleaning and maintain a safe home environment.
• Engage residents in activities that promote socialization and well-being.
• Support residents with dignity, patience, and respect.
