Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the Joints/Observation unit. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in postoperative joint surgery care and observation patients. Flexible scheduling!! Registered nurses on this unit enjoy self-scheduling along with the opportunity to obtain medical surgical certification, orthopedic certification, and much more for FREE! Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program

This 10‑week TTP program focuses on the orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in Medical‑Surgical areas. For new graduates, this TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6‑month residency program to support your transition to practice.

Program includes:

• Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards with in‑person sessions utilizing case studies, gaming, simulation, and skills labs
• Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence‑based practice guidelines
• Hands‑on experience alongside a trained nurse preceptor
• Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe, protected environment
• A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses)

We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full‑time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
