Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Program Aide in Hummelstown, PA to provide direct care and assist with daily living activities. This role supports individuals with IDD, helping with personal care, mobility, meals, and life skills in a compassionate, structured environment.

As part of Merakey's mission, you’ll promote health and safety, participate in community activities, and gain on-the-job training with opportunities for growth within a nonprofit health and human services organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current, valid Driver’s License required.
• Good communication both oral/written and organizational skills.
• 6 months experience with individuals with IDD.
• Community Participation Certificate a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
