Job summary

Teen Challenge in Montgomery, TX seeks Direct Care staff for the THRIVE program to provide spiritual leadership and supervision of residents, including night shifts and online education support. This is a full-time hourly position working within a faith-based residential recovery setting.

The role emphasizes mentorship, adherence to mission statements, and collaboration with Campus Coordinator and Director to ensure safety, discipline, and program compliance with TCUSA, Cognia and Texas DFPS

Qualifications

• Must be spiritually mature and in agreement with ATCOT mission statement
• Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or an equivalent course
• Knowledge of Christian discipleship and mentor relationships
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship
• 30 hours of training in childcare or related field
• Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by THRIVE)
• A background check and pastoral reference is required

Responsibilities

• Engage in religious instruction
• Work with other departments to comply with all TCUSA, Cognia & Texas DFPS regulations
• Participate in campus events and chapels as required
• Supervision (following staff check off list responsibilities), mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities
• Administer discipline as is necessary according to THRIVE policies
• Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions
• Become a mentor to students
• All other duties as assigned by Director
