Job summary

YAI is seeking a dedicated supervisor for its California residential program to oversee direct support staff, ensure safety, and maintain high-quality care. The role requires strong leadership, staff scheduling, and compliance with federal/state regulations, with emphasis on trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.

Hourly rate ranges from $33 to $38 and reflects supervisory responsibilities for DSP-RBT staff; prior DSP supervisory experience in I/DD is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• 6 months supervisory/lead experience in I/DD or related field.
• Completion of DSPT Year 1 and Year 2.
• RBT certification within 60 days of appointment (or incumbent LPT).
• Within 15 months, CA Group Home/Adult Residential Facility Administrator certificate if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with CA Lanterman Act and Titles 17 & 22.
• CPR/First Aid, CPI, Ukeru; recertify annually.
• Annual CEUs for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise DSP-RBTs and Leads on shift and ensure task execution.
• Consult with program leadership and clinicians to ensure compliant, high-quality care.
• Ensure appropriate supervision levels across settings per plans.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and shift scheduling; maintain logs and postings.
• Foster a professional, trauma-informed, person-centered work environment.
• Maintain scheduling, shift reports, and logs (vehicle, meds, etc.).
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care coordination.
• Direct care coverage and staff training as needed.
• Document and ensure compliance in all required records.
