Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking a DSP-RBT Back-up Lead in California to supervise and care for individuals, support learning, and ensure safety. The role includes implementing plans, managing crisis situations, and coordinating with the team to maintain a therapeutic environment.

Under supervision, you will lead shifts, complete documentation, and participate in team meetings. Must have HS diploma, at least 1 year of direct care experience, and obtain RBT certification within 60 days

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its educational equivalent.
• At least one year of direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behavior.
• Must hold or obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 60 days; or be a Licensed Psych Technician or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, protect and care for individuals at all times and enforce house rules.
• Provide support in various settings per individualized service and behavior support plans.
• Ensure health, safety and crisis management per policies and regulations.
• Assist with plans of protective oversight and IPPs/IBSPs.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow infection control protocols.
• Support individuals to maximize strengths and goals, using person-centered approaches.
• Provide supervision for activities and lead coverage as needed.
• Document progress notes and maintain records in the electronic health record.
