The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports direct patient care under the RN and contributes to unit safety and quality of care. The role emphasizes teamwork within a multi-disciplinary treatment team, with opportunities for professional development and advancement in a growing organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 18 college credits in behavioral health and two years of full-time behavioral health work experience
• Four years of full-time behavioral health work experience
• Associate’s degree with at least two years of behavioral health experience
• Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least one year of behavioral health work experience
• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in behavioral health is preferred
• Six months of recovery from substance use/mental health disorders is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients under RN direction
• Assist with safety of the unit and report safety concerns as needed
• Support the multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care plan
