Job summary

ND Health and Human Services’ South Central Behavioral Health Clinic in Jamestown, ND is hiring a Direct Care Associate (Adult) for full-time, with evening and overnight shifts. You will connect with clients, support their recovery goals, and assist with medication administration.

South Central Behavioral Health Clinic Bridges to Recovery/Buffalo City TL in Jamestown, North Dakota is seeking a Direct Care Associate Adult Full-Time

No experience required; on-site training provided.

Bridges to Recovery/Buffalo City TL is seeking dedicated Direct Care Associates to join our team and float between our two residential facilities, depending on open shift needs. We are hiring for a full-time position that would primarily work evening and overnight shifts. Shift times may vary based on site location.

As a Direct Care Associate, you will connect with clients and support them on their recovery journey.

Each day, you will aid individuals to identify their goals for recovery, learning, and life. You will assist in generalizing the skills clients learn during substance use and mental health groups. You will work with clients to develop effective communication and socialization skills, as well as teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies. You will observe and monitor individuals' condition. documenting and reporting any changes in well- being. You will also assist clients in the administration of their medication.

Location

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position you must have a high school diploma or GED. Experience providing direct care to special populations is preferred. We will provide Medication Assistant training onsite if not currently certified.

The position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
