Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Support Care Assistant to join our team of nurses providing one-on-one care for consumers. The role requires experience with developmentally disabled individuals, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Hands-on direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and basic health care tasks.
• Knowledge of general care and emergency treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Develop and implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Assist clients in developing self-help, social, and educational skills.
• Assist with basic health care tasks including checking vital signs, height, and weight.
• Record fluid intake/output and report client condition changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment for care and treatment.
• Pass medications as certified and per facility policy.
• Attend to overtime needs to maintain staffing.
• Pass background screening as required.
• Participate in planned sessions of therapy, education, and rehabilitation activities.
