Job summary

Southeast Missouri Residential Services, a State of Missouri facility, is seeking a Support Care Assistant to join our team of nurses providing one-on-one care for consumers. The role requires working with individuals with developmental disabilities, strong work ethic, and a caring attitude.

Shifts available: 7:00pm and 7:00am with overtime as needed to meet facility needs. Overseeing vital signs, medication aide certification within one month, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hands on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• First-level direct care services to include assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks.
• Develop and/or implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Teach or assist in developing client skills related to self-help, play, education, and socialization.
• Assist and/or provide basic health care for clients such as checking vital signs, height, and weight.
• Observing, reporting, and recording changes in the physical condition, behavioral response, and emotional status of clients.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for client care and treatment activities.
